Firemane's Shameless Self-Promotion (SSP)

The HR3 Semis have begun with John Woods (Gorn) vs. John Hanna (Lyran) in 401 and John Kim (WYN-GBS) vs. Dave Trauger (Zinti) in 402. Too bad Dave's brother couldn't have been the forth, to enable the ALL-JOHN SFB tourney.

WINNERS UPDATE: I've just completed an update marking the winners in a number of HR4 games. While the turn.imp field are not completely up-to-date, if you're interested in who is winning and losing now is a good time to check. Also, in a number of games one player conceded. This may not be indicated on the web page. WMs SHOULD include a note on the SitRep when a player concedes. Also, if any errors are found regarding players marked as winning, or you have won a game but your name has NOT been highlighted in RED, please let me know ASAP. Thanks.

The KEY RULES file is finally up. I've already gotten several e-mails where the answer was already IN this file. It's really a must read.

HR4 - TIME LIMITS AND ADJUDICATION PROCEDURES
To see what you should do in regards to requesting an adjudication, please read the Adjudication File

A-SERIES REOPENS!

Patrick Abram has taken over the A-series PBEM 'pick-up' games. We are still in the process of organizing things, so please be patient. But, if you're interested, go take a look at The A-Series Page.

HR4 Top Ten Nominess: 4021

As a courtesy, I've been asked to plug Junker's SFA site. Junker was instrumental in getting the original HR tourneys and PBEM rules off the ground, and I suspect he'll do a fine job with Star Fleet Arena.

STATS-R-US: Check out Nightshade's Stats. Mark Leroux has also gathered the ISC Stats. Mark Hall's Fed Stats is a nice page for you Fed Fanatics. Gnaarl's Lyran Stats is also great.

If you're confused, check out our FAQ file. Or go to HR4 Procedures.
For general HR4 info, go to Main HR4 Site. From there, you SHOULD be able to find everything else.
PBEM questions should be sent to Jim Hart.
SFB questions should be sent to Firemane.
Personnel questions should be sent to Steve Rushing.

HR3 NOTES: ROUND THREE IS OVER! To view the entire tourney, take a look at the Tournament Tree.

UPDATE: 4/14/98: The link from the Galactic Center page allows access to all of the individual race pages. Another homeworld page is up. Patrick Abram agreed to take the Seltorians and Tholian homeworlds. However, Steve Rushing is too busy with HR4 to put up the Rom page he had planned on. If you are interested in taking the Romulan homeworld page, please contact Firemane.

The NINTH chapters of the first ever SFB Serialized novel is now on-line. Chapter NINE introduces the Federation to the novel, as well as being the only chapter based on a previously published scenario (SH55 - Mercy Mission). Chapter TEN should be up any day now. This novel was written by Sandy S. Firemane Hemenway. It follows the life of Firemane, of the Kzinti Hegemony, from birth to . . . well, you'll see. It's a twelve-chapter novel, and I am putting up new chapters as quick as I can (about every week now), thru the Kzinti homeworld page. Please send comments, as it is mainly these boosts to my ego that keep me active in SFB. Now is that shameless, or what? :-)

The SFB Web-based Bulletin Board continues to be a big hit, with lively tactics discussions and rules questions.

HR2 is complete! Feel free to read my Victory@Compuserve.com II article. As always, comments are welcome.

If something you liked has vanished from my SSP section, just go to my Miscellaneous page. If it's not there, I'm sure you can find it through my Command Central page.

For any interested parties, please visit my Victory @ Compuserve.com article, recounting my path to glory in the First On-line Rated Ace SFB Tourney. Just go to my Tourney 1 page. You can also check out the game reports for the games recounted in the write-up. As always, comments and criticisms (well at least comments) are welcome.

The HR3 Tourney began June 1, 1997, with each round consisting of a three month time limit, with a one month extension (if necessary). Any games incomplete after an extension period are adjudicated by yours truly. Round two officially began October 3rd, 1997. While the holidays will eat into on-line time for many of you. Regardless of this, any game not completed by January 31st, 1998, WILL be adjudicated.

Any rules questions by players should be addressed first to your moderator, and then, if unsatisfied, ask your moderator to forward the question to me. Any PBEM questions can be addressed directly to me. Good luck to all.
