The little ships gave me a few more headaches than the big ships because the power curves were way different. X1 simply kicked the next-higher ship class' warp power down one (Except cruisers got 40, not 45). After a lot of conversation about 60-warp XCCs, I became convinced that 60 was just too much power. 48 was an easy number to arrive at. It was divisible by 2, 3 and 4, the usual number of engines a ship can sport. The DD and FF had a problem by the "next size up" calculus. If I given it a proportional upgrade as measured from General War tech, it would get 24, exactly what it has at X1. X2 cruisers got an increase from 40 to 48, which is +20% so I gave the DD a +20% increase, which would have left it at 28.6, so I figured we might as well go for 30, which was the next size up (oh well) for the DD.
Anyone who feels like playtesting this stuff, feel free. Send me the reports along with suggestions and I will make the changes.

The more I think about the Plasma
Caster, the more I think it needs to have its
own system box. I already have rules
for it on the X2 Tech page. I have added SSDs as well. Compare and
contrast.

Integrated Plasma Casters eliminated. The primary reason I decided to go
with a separate system box was to provide a small amount of PPD padding.
The Casters are hit on Drone hits.
All SSDs are copyright ADB, Inc because it's Steve Cole's game. I'm just playing with it.

The
ISC XCC Flagship Cruiser
The big bad boy of ISC fleet. Packing two advanced PPDs and 2 S-canister torps, it's the core of any X2 echelon and the showcase ship for all the new ISC technology I came up with. It was also the first X2 ship I created. As a result, it's been poked and tweaked more than the rest of the fleet combined. The Plasma Casters may receive plasmas only from lateral F-torps with the same firing arc. Plasmas may not be transferred from the forward S-torps, even if the launcher is holding a F-torp. The
ISC XCS Strike Cruiser
Retaining the APPDs of its big brother, it lends an echelon offensive power with its APPDs The BPVs for the XCS and XCL are identical for now because I don't have a good feel for what's better, the APP or the Canister-S The Plasma Casters may receive plasmas only from lateral F-torps with the same firing arc. The
ISC XCL Light Cruiser
The Plasma-version, its job is to make anyone who penetrated the gunline or tries to flank the Echelon very sorry they did as well as provide seeking weapon defense for other units. The Plasma Casters may receive plasmas only from lateral F-torps with the same firing arc. Technology Used

The
ISC XDD Destroyer
The Cadillac (such as it is) of gunline ships. I got a little nervous about giving the thing forward-firing plasma casters, fearing it was too good so I made them a refit. The FP Plasma Caster may receive plasmas only from the FP Plasma-F's. The AP Plasma caster may only receive F-torps from the two lateral launchers. Technology Used

The
ISC XFF Frigate
The most expendable X2 ISC ship, the power difference between X2 and X1 makes the ship s bit easier to work with as compared to an X1 or General War-era FF. The FP Plasma Caster may receive plasmas from either FP Plasma-F. Technology Used
