This is how I stand on the X2 ships.
They shall X1 ships with slight changes to their capacitates.
R6, attract drones and follow RTNs.
All have X-Full Aegis.
BTTY are three pointers until the Delta Refit when they
become 4 pointers.
All ships have a an S-Bridge....it can control drones and break lockons from S-Bridge may break Lock-ons but only at a range of 6 or less.
All have an A.S.I.F.
The ASIF works as the following...the listed systems are able to take double the
damage ( that is they take two points of damage each ) to destroty each box...if
the last point of damage strikes a box, it will destroy that box either in
conjunction with a preivous points of damage or on it's own. The SSD should have
a table on it (in four parts, low power, full power and the SSD box types of
each . They are Low Power:- Hull, Excess Damage, Armour.Full OPower, Cargo,
Baracks, Control, Lab, Shuttle bay.
ASIF works, as the listed systems take two points of damage to destroy if the
ASIF is running in a powered mode. Low Power:- Hull, Excess Damage, Armor.Full
Power:- Cargo Barracks, Control, Shuttle Bay, Lab. The last point of damage must
destroy a box reguardless of whether that is
in conjunction with the penultimate point of damage or by it'self. The A.S.I.F.
has a decreaing return, it cost the same ammount of power to
run reguardless of how many SDD boxes of a particularly type are running. The
ASIF increases to the protected level of the protected system 4 impulses
after power was applied to it, and looses the protective effect the instant
power is takenm away from it...at WS-III an X2 ship may be considered to
have been opperating it's ASIF on the previous turn.
24 Photon Photns fire with 12 impulse ( 17-20)
and 16 impulse ( 21-24 ) double braodside penalties...any photon armed with more
then 6 points of warp in a single turn becomes unstable and can neither be held
nor completed on a latter turn....may choose prox or not with 4 impulse
penalty....may fire at R5-8 oin overloaded Proximity mode...fire standards upto
12 points, may choose to fire 9-12 point warheads as standards or overloads at
the instant of fire. X2 Photons may Fire in Proximity Overload mode at the
R5-8 bracket and may choose to convert regular shots ( standards and overloads )
to proxies and back with a four impulse delay.X2 Photons fired as 17-20 point
waheads overheat and create a 12 impulse double broadside penalty and 21-24
pointers have a 16 point double broadside penalty. X2 Photons with more than 6 (
that's more than notmore than or equal to ) points of Warp added to them may be
neither completed nor held because of instability ( but will be availible for
fire this turn ).
X2 Disruptors have fully intergrate IUM ( which
fires in standard shot with overload chance to hit ) and 4 Point Disruptor Caps
( which become 6 poit Disruptor Caps during the BTTY refit ) and they have a 6
impulse double broadside penalty.
Phaser-5s may fire in rapid pulse mode as either
2Ph-6 shots or 3Ph-3 shotsd ( a Ph-3 shot may be substituted for a Ph-6 shot in
the pair of Ph-6 shots ). Ph-6 shots cost 0.5 points of power.All X2 Phasers
have a three point Cap.
Ph-5s should have 3 point caps ( as should X2Ph-1s ) and rapid pulse as either
2Ph6 shots or 3Ph-3 shots.
X2 G-racks should be able to fire Type IX & XII
drones at a rate of one every 6 impulses.
X2 E-racks can fire Type IX & XII drones every 3
impulses and my Fire type VII & X drones once per turn ( not within 8 impulses
of type IX or XII drone ).
Type X drones are 24/8/40,
Type XI drones are 32/10/40
Type XII are 2(4 & 8)/5/40.
Type X, XI & XII drones weren't invented until Y217.
The Lyran X2 ESG opperated as an X1 ESG but the reraising period (G23.323 ) changed to 4 impulses and the next turn rather than the 32 impulses and the second next turn.
The Lyrans planed to build XCCs and XDDs and built them from Y205 but also began feilding smaller/cheaper cruisers (the XCM and XCL ) from Y210 as a form of cost cutting. The Lyrans never built an XFF feeling that the X2 Interceptor could perform the role of most any XFF.

ASIF Cost 4+7
( These are the rules for determining how much a power a newly designed
ship's ASIF will cost.
Simply multiply the number of each type of box that the ship has ( when
undamaged ) by the Multiplier and total the cost of all the boxes in that
power level. Round up to the next whole point of power except when dealing
with low power total that is below 0.5 which should round up to 0.5 points
of power.
Detemine the cost of Full power using all the box types and their totals and
then subtract out the Low Power Cost to determine the power consuption of
the ASIF as X+Y and list it under the life support cost in the ships
desription table.
