The game pages are laid out in two major parts. The first part is the standard PBEM web page consisting of links to ship SSDs, the combatants, the moderator and a record of how the game progressed. The second part is the commentary I made on my site as the game unfolded. The comments in green italics represent the thoughts that couldn't be expressed as the events unfolded, either because it's 20-20 hindsight, I would be breaking my neutrality as a moderator/webmiester, or because I'm playing in the game and I'm not stupid enough to post my gameplan where my opponent can find it and use it against me.
In late-January, 1999, I was laid off from a job that had already pushed me past burnout. The actual layoff precipitated something of a collapse. You can see it as you go down my tournament games. I make a few more mistakes each time I play as you go down the list of HR4 games. You will note a distinct lack of commentary into 1999 and the burnout is more or less why. I'm fine now, thanks.
